Focused primarily on high quality 19th and 20th Century artworks from the Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Modern and Post-War periods, and covering all mediums from painting and sculpture to works on paper, Ward Moretti Ltd. has its own gallery entrance at 12 Duke Street, the right hand side of the newly renovated Moretti Fine Art gallery, on Duke Street St James's. Offering a bespoke, discreet, end-to-end service, Ward Moretti Ltd. works with collectors looking for trusted, knowledgeable advice on all aspects of buying, valuing, conserving and selling artworks, whether at auction, private sales, commercial galleries or fairs.
Emma Ward said: "Having spent my entire 24-year career at Dickinson Gallery, including the last 12 years as Managing Director, it felt like the right time to strike out on my own and I couldn't have hoped for a better business partner than Fabrizio Moretti. In addition to our complimentary knowledge, networks and experience placing museum-quality works with individuals and institutions alike, we share an important commitment to providing clients with the best possible service. Our carefully researched advice and thorough market analysis is provided with integrity and clear guidance to ensure fully informed decisions can be taken by clients in what is often an opaque art market. It's great to be open for business and we look forward to welcoming our friends, clients and colleagues to the gallery during Frieze week."
Joining Emma at Ward Moretti as Consultant is James Roundell, former Head of the Impressionist & Modern Department at Christie’s London, where he was responsible for many important sales including Van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’. James left Christie’s in 1995 to establish and run the modern arm of Dickinson’s operations in London and New York and brings with him almost 50 years’ experience of the commercial art world. James was formerly Chairman of SLAD and for 13 years was Chairman of the Modern Section and Modern Vetting Committee at TEFAF Maastricht. Max Weaver, former Gallery Manager at Dickinson, plays another vital role in the new Ward Moretti team as Gallery Director, overseeing the company’s operations from the gallery on Duke Street. Together with Emma, the team has some combined 80 years’ experience of working in the art world.
