ABOUT

Galleria Moretti was founded in Florence in 1999 by Fabrizio Moretti. It opened to the public and to private collectors with the inaugural exhibition From Bernardo Daddi to Giorgio Vasari, immediately distinguishing itself through its specialisation in Italian Old Master paintings.

Moretti Fine Art Ltd opened in London in 2005 and soon became a point of reference for collectors seeking a confidential and discreet approach. In 2022, the gallery moved to a new building on Duke Street, St. James’s, at the heart of the London and international art market.

The gallery has been present at the most prestigious fine art exhibitions in Europe and the United States, including TEFAF (Maastricht and New York), Frieze Masters (London), and the Biennale di Palazzo Corsini (Florence).

Over the years, the gallery’s philanthropic activity has enabled the publication of monographs on Italian painters, including Spinello Aretino, Carlo Dolci, Bartolomeo della Gatta, Angelo Caroselli, Johannes Hispanus, and Simone di Crocifissi. Moretti Fine Art has also funded scholarships at several institutions and sponsored the restoration of various paintings, among them the significant Visitation by Pontormo in Carmignano.

Moretti Fine Art is also a member of the Associazione Antiquari d’Italia, Federazione Italiana Mercanti d’Arte, Associazione Antiquari Fiorentini, the Society of London Art Dealers, and the British Antiques Dealers’ Association.
