During the fifteenth century in Prato, something miraculous happens: the best artists congregate within its walls, creating masterpieces of the early Renaissance, therefore laying the foundations for the great masters of the sixteenth century. Donatello, Michelozzo, Maso di Bartolomeo, Paolo Uccello and Filippo Lippi made Prato the period's glorious artistic laboratory: the Officina Pratese. This exhibition, which coincides with the reopening of the Museo del Palazzo Pretorio, recreates this magical atmosphere by putting together more than sixty works from all over the world for the first time, all witnesses to one of the highest moments in the history of art. It is the ideal magnifying glass for examining the remarkable work that these visionary artists created in the Officina Pratese and a superb opportunity to appreciate the masterpieces preserved in the city's most beautiful monuments.
